Contest Couple #5 – Leahanne & Michael

The contest voting has officially begun! Each of the contest finalists has their own post, and you can vote on the couple/wedding that you like best, to win FREE wedding photography from Jessica Velarde Photography!! We created an inspiration board for each of the weddings so that you can get a visual concept of the wedding. Below the board is the information that the couple sent to us, and a picture of the couple.

Voting rules: Please vote for only one couple – although I know they are all amazing and it’s hard to choose! You can vote only once per day on the blog, but if you are a super fan of any particular couple, you can come back every day and vote again. (Vote by leaving a comment on the post of your favorite couple stating that you are casting your vote!) You can also add ONE additional vote on our Facebook page, by liking or commenting on the photo of the couple’s inspiration board, under the “Contest” album.

Only our closest family and friends will be in attendance; the women will have on blue dresses in whatever shade they prefer (though I picture sapphire and aqua) while the men will be wearing gray pants with white or blue shirts, dapper but casual.  We’ll gather on the bare, beautiful beach behind the vacation home at sunset, most likely barefoot and without great fanfare, my fiance in a snappy gray suit, me in a retro-inspired dress (knee or tea length) with a handful of cheery yellow and white flowers.  One of my best friends, a brilliant writer, will pen a brief, personalized ceremony and officiate, though we will probably write our own vows.  At the conclusion, I imagine a celebratory shower of eco-friendly confetti and a laughing, hugging procession back up to the house, where we’ll have a fantastic meal on an ocean-facing balcony under a criss-cross of string lights.  No speeches will be planned, any dancing that happens will be impromptu and dessert will be more delicious than anything covered in fondant could ever be.  The rest of the night will involve a modest fire back on the beach, some wine, some beer and quite possibly some star-gazing.
