Real Wedding | Anique & Danny

I’m super excited about this wedding, guys. And I apologize in advance for the vast number of photos in this post. Oh wait… I don’t. You’re welcome. Danny and Anique’s gorgeous wedding (and awesome dance party) was shot by Nick Radford, who – based on his e-mails – is as hilarious as he is talented. (But don’t tell him I said so, because he’s modest too!) And Anique – based on her e-mails – seems as sweet as she is beautiful. And she and Danny put together an incredible day. I kinda wish I had been there… But let’s just crash the party via the photos, shall we?

From Anique: We had a very short engagement after 7 years of dating (I don’t know how many people can say they met their husband at an 18+ club! Named Club Glam none-the-less), Danny asked me to marry him on June 24th of this year. Getting married had been in our future for awhile and something we had both been looking forward to since we had always chosen not live together until we were married – we were very tradtional in that aspect. Even though I knew a proposal was coming, he managed to completely surprise me with a really sweet and memorable proposal in front of my family.

Our wedding came together really fast. Getting married in the same church my parents did was a no-brainer for the ceremony. For the reception I was reallly drawn to the idea of an outdoor venue, The Newland Barn in Huntington Beach where we live and grew up was an easy choice. Luckily for us, with such a short engagement, all the other details fell into line quickly: my cousin married us, family friends DJ’d and made our cake, our talented friends did hair and makeup and my former work, Devynn’s Garden, was the only choice for flowers. It may have seemed a little crazy to have planned such an important event in such a short amount of time but we were so anxious to be married and start our lives together that pushing out a date to get married to plan a wedding didn’t make any sense.

Music was an important part of our wedding, the dance floor pics speak for themselves!  Danny is a great dancer and all of our friends enjoy getting a little rowdy on the dance floor. We wanted our reception to turn into an epic dance party for everyone there. Our rsvp cards even had a spot for  attendees to fill in “a song that would get them on the dance floor.”
