My friend Kimi was recently sharing with me her wedding planning dilemma: after the ceremony the guests go upstairs, enjoy a signature cocktail, and then return downstairs for the reception. Problem: the guests would have to head down the venue’s small staircase, with drink, cocktail napkin, and escort card… quite a handful. But what if they read their table number upstairs and then forget it before they get back downstairs? Well, as usually the wedding blogosphere has provided inspiration… and a solution! I love this idea.

Alicia from Charity Wedding offered up these chalkboard paint glasses, which would be perfect to not only house the aforementioned signature cocktail, but can also double as an escort card! You can put the guests’ name and table number right on the glass! See an example below, on classic mason jars, found on Emmaline Bride.

This is a great example of a fun and innovative wedding idea that doesn’t cost too much and is easy to implement — I absolutely love the idea for a casual or vintage feel wedding.
