Your Soundtrack = My response to brides asking for music help. If you would like help with music for your wedding day, contact me! I’d love to do what I can.
Today’s soundtrack is for Trena. Here’s what Trena had to say: “I just stumbled onto your website, and think it is such a wonderful idea that you help brides with music! I am newly engaged to my fiance Jeremy, and while we are similar when it comes to many things, music isn’t necessarily one of them. I am a sucker for a good country love song, and he loves his rock and metal. We do both love current pop hits and classic rock. And when it comes to country, I love the newer stuff, and do not like at all the old twangy drunken sound. I love Brad Paisley and Kieth Urban. Jeremy loves Metallica, (which I cannot see at a wedding, but want to incorporate his tastes), and other such bands. Our wedding is to take place in either Portland Oregon, or the Oregon Coast, with a very laid back, casual vibe. It will be an outdoor, DIY style budget wedding. We will probably have families and older people there, so we want clean, yet fun music. We of course want people to dance! I am not one for tradition, especially when it comes to ceremony songs. I loathe the wedding march with a passion, and would hate walking down the aisle to it. I would love a simple yet beautiful melody played with a piano or acoustic guitar (and could be prerecorded, doesn’t have to be an actual musician at the ceremony). I still think it is wonderful that you use your love of music to help others! And look forward to hearing from you!”

Happy to help, Trena! I came up with some instrumental songs for your ceremony, and a mixture of country, pop and rock for your cocktail hour/dinner, as well as dancing songs. And… to include your fiance’s tastes a bit, I included a list of metal love songs. Let me just say, for the record, that metal is the one genre of music that I really don’t know anything about, because… I’ll be honest, it’s just not my favorite. The selection below is what I found when I was researching metal songs that would be appropriate for a wedding (or at least not entirely INappropriate.) I’m sure that some of them don’t really even belong in the “metal” category… so I just wanted to clarify that I’m no expert in this area, but I thought I’d give it a shot.![]()
