If you haven’t heard of the group, the Vitamin String Quartet is a group of musicians who are known for their tribute albums to many rock and pop groups, covered in the classical style. They are primarily performed by a string quartet, but they occasionally include other instruments. In the words of Tom Tally, a violinist and arranger for the group, “Vitamin String Quartet is about applying rock n’ roll attitude to classical technique” – and this they do. You’d be hard pressed to find a song that hasn’t been covered by the group!

If you want instrumental music played in the classical style at your wedding, but are bored by the traditionally used at weddings, this group is perfect for you. Below is a list of some of my favorites covers (or “tributes”) that they have done – among many! The slower, more dramatic pieces are great for the processional and bridal entrance, and there are also a bunch of upbeat tunes which are perfect for the recessional. Enjoy!
