Today’s soundtrack is for Robyn.. Here’s what Robyn had to say: “I am writing to you not only because I need help with our playlists, but also because I was so inspired by the playlist you made for Stephanie! I think that you and I have similar tastes! My fiance and I already have our first dance song (Better Together by Jack Johnson, but performed by my brother). We like that indie sort of feel – upbeat music that makes you smile in spite of yourself and want to dance all night long, but isn’t the same old wedding music. I want our processional and entrance of the bride songs to be touching and emotional, and the rest of the night to feel like a great big party inside a music video (back when MTV and music videos were IT)! Can you help?? Thank you!!
Our wedding will be all outdoors, at a little historical park called Heritage Hill in Lake Forest, CA. Since I am an English teacher and our wedding venue has an old 1890′s schoolhouse and chapel, we’d like to work vintage books into our centerpieces and decor a bit. The feeling of our wedding will be somewhat casual – for example, our groomsmen are wearing dress shirts with the sleeves rolled up, suspenders, slacks, and Converse. All our bridesmaids will be wearing big funky fascinators in their hair. I’ll be wearing sparkly blue flats and a birdcage veil with my dress
. All of our flowers will be white, and we’re using vintage blue Ball mason jars for our centerpieces.”
