Happy Monday everybody! Guess what? Friday was the one year anniversary of this blog!! Woot!

I thought about having some kind of big celebration, but for whatever reason, decided against it. I still felt it should be mentioned though. In some ways I can’t believe it’s already been a year, and in some ways I can’t believe it’s only been a year since this blog was born. I’m so grateful for every single visitor, follower, contributor and friend that has made this blog what it is today. And I can’t wait to see what the next year brings!!

I’m very excited about some new changes that are in the works for the blog, which I will share with you all once they are ready. I have been thinking a lot about my vision for this blog… to be honest I sort of jumped into this with two feet before I really had any clue what I was getting myself into. But I learned a lot along the way, and was so encouraged and blessed by the support in the journey from friends and fellow bloggers.

I want this blog to be inspiring. I want it to be lovely. But most of all, I want it to be helpful – that’s why I started it in the first place. I don’t want to be just another wedding blog that looks like all the rest. Don’t get me wrong, I love mason jars and ombre cakes and baby’s breath and mismatched bridesmaid dresses as much as the next wedding-obsessed girl. I just want this blog to be about more than that. I want it to reflect who I am (since, you know… I created it). I love music because it’s what feelings sound like. I love weddings because they are the joining of two souls. All that other fun stuff is just the icing on the cake. (Beautiful, fondant icing perhaps – but still icing.) I want this blog to be a practical source for music help, and also a place that inspires – not just with the latest wedding trend but with reminders of what weddings are really all about. So that’s the vision for this coming year for Soundtrack To I Do. I hope to have you all with me as we venture into it. I’m so glad to have had you around at all. xo
