Everybody Dance Now

If your dream wedding involves people dancing all night long, this list is for you. (Unless you have a live band playing their own music.) I’m always disappointed at weddings when only one type of music is played, because weddings are a blend of all ages, so the music should be a blend as well. I also have a personal distaste for very inappropriate hip hop songs being played when grandma and/or the kids are still around. Don’t get me wrong, I am a hip hop fan, but there are some great ones out there that won’t make your great aunt faint if she happens to catch the lyrics. So, with all that said, here is a list of some great songs from the 50’s to today that are guaranteed to get people moving. The songs with questionable lyrics have an asterisk*, so that you can decide for yourself whether they are appropriate for your wedding. These are the most popular dance/wedding songs from the last 60 years, but if you like more offbeat stuff or want more songs from a specific era, stick around. We won’t leave you hanging.
