Happy Thanksgiving Lovelies!!
I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ, who gives me something to hope for no matter my circumstances, a peace even when life is chaotic, and joy in every season of life. He is my best friend, my savior and redeemer, my everything.
I am thankful for my family. I was raised in an environment of unconditional love, and I will never ever take that for granted or forget what an incredible blessing that is. I am thankful for parents who were dedicated to their marriage and to our family, and provided everything I needed and much more. I am thankful for two older sisters who have at times been teachers, protectors, examples, sounding boards, and most of all friends. I am thankful for two nieces and two nephews who have brought unspeakable joy into my life with the sweet privilege of being an auntie. I am thankful for the time I had with my grandparents, and the love and lessons I received from them.
I am thankful for friends. There have been many who have come and gone throughout the seasons of life, and I am grateful for what I learned from each of them. And I am most thankful for the ones who are in it for the long haul (they know who they are.) They have listened to me, laughed with me, cried with me, and walked with me through this adventure of life. Without them I don’t know where I’d be.
I am thankful for so many more blessings than I can count. For the beautiful place I grew up, (and live in again now) and the amazing places I have had the privilege to visit and live in. For my education. For being able to do a job that I love, and learn something new every day from kids who have not had the privileges I have, but who carry on with resilience and grace. For my sweet pups. For laughter, and sunshine, and rain. For the beach, and the mountains, and outdoor adventures. For shopping sprees the internet and peppermint mochas. For fairy tales and holidays and Disneyland. And the list goes on…
And I am thankful for you, sweet readers. This blog would just be a big waste of time without you. And although I do waste a lot of time, I prefer not to when I can avoid it. I’m thankful for this world to escape to, where everything is about love and commitment and happy ever after. And I’m glad you’re here in this world with me. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Loves. I hope you are all able to spend this holiday with people you cherish.
