I’m (Kind Of) A Failure – But Let Me Distract You With This Cool Video

Remember last week when I told you all about the awesome new schedule for the blog? Well, we’re one week in and I’m already failing at it. But I did tell you that I don’t strictly keep schedules… they’re more like guidelines. In the way that moral codes of decency are more like guidelines for pirates. But I’m going to distract you with shiny objects so you hopefully won’t notice.

Shiny object #1 – I bought a keyboard today!!! One of the reasons why posting did not go according to plan. I’m super duper excited to learn to play again (I played piano as a kid, and if you didn’t know, I play the harp. Not all that well, but who’s judging?) So anyway, music is awesome! Oh you already knew I thought that? Oh ok. Moving right along then.

Shiny object #2 – This totally non-wedding related music video that will rock your socks off if you were a child anytime since the 1970’s – or even if you were a parent of a child in those years – so pretty much everyone! If Mr. Rogers was not a part of your childhood, you were sorely missing out. I now present him, autotuned and remixed into a beautiful and magical song about the power of the imagination.

Shiny object #3 – Just to prove I didn’t forget that I write a wedding blog. On the off chance that you haven’t already seen this video, get ready for one of the best proposals ever. And if you have seen it, who are you kidding? You know you want to watch it again.

I can’t embed it, so go watch it here.

P.S. Watching this video, and having no clue who/where these people were, I told myself, “This chick has got Portland written all over her” (I used to live there) and then I found out that’s where they live. I was pretty proud of myself.

Thanks for being here with me in my moments of weirdness. Regularly scheduled programming coming soon. The first dance Friday post is coming to a city near you within mere hours. Get excited. xo

sticking to a firm schedule is HARD. i never 100% succeed as it either. much prefer the “its more of a guideline” route :) also, yes, i will watch that proposal vid [AND CRY] again thanks. happy friday :)
