All You Need Is Love

Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy

Nothing you can make that can’t be made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
It’s easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Nothing you can know that isn’t known
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown
Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be
It’s easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Inspiration Overload | We’ve Revamped Our Pinterest Boards!

Happy hump day y’all! I like to pretend I’m from the south on occasion. And I like to put “we” in the title of things, even though it’s just me writing these posts… but it makes me feel cooler when I say “we.” Like I have a team. Anywho… Let’s talk Pinterest!

I’ve spent a ridiculous, unspeakable amount of time redoing “our” Pinterest boards. I’ve been wanting to do this for months. Here are the reasons this is awesome:

1. You will no longer be distracted from gorgeous and inspiring wedding pins by random quotes and recipes and pictures of animals. I have created my own personal Pinterest account for those things. If that makes you sad, instead of happy, feel free to follow my personal account as well. Warning: It’s random, and a work in progress.

2. There are no longer ANY pins that link to a ridiculous Tumbler page, or any other page where the photographer is not credited for their work. (To the best of my knowledge – I had to go through thousands of pins, y’all, I may have missed a couple.) This may not matter to you, but it matters to me, and my integrity as a blogger.

3. It looks so pretty!! Yep, that’s a legit reason.

4. There are fewer boards, which are more organized and easy to navigate. For you type A peeps. Or for people who get easily overwhemed. Pinterest can be very overstimulating, I feel your pain.

5. Most importantly… I have created two new boards so that you can easily find what you want and need from Soundtrack To I Do! The Music Ideas/Playlists board is where you can find all of our music posts in one place in case you are looking for something specific! That way you can easily pin it for future reference. And the board titled Your Wedding Soundtrack links to all the personalized playlists I have made, in case you need some musical inspiration.

Yay!! Come and follow us and pin pin pin!

Top 40 | August

I’ve decided that the top 40 posts can be monthly, since there are only 2-3 songs added to the charts each week, and much of the time they are not wedding appropriate. So here are the favorites from August. And by favorites, I mean songs you might like to use at your wedding. Not my personal favorites. See comments.

1. Play Hard – David Guetta

Fun for dancing. Not much more to be said for this one.

2. Everything Has Changed – Taylor Swift

I was a big fan of Taylor’s in the past. Recently I feel her music has taken a serious turn for the worse. Despite that, this is a sweet song with some pretty harmonies. I can get on board with this one. A good one for cocktail/dinner time.

3. Still Into You – Paramore

This song has one of those in between tempos that makes it challenging to place at a wedding. Too loud/fast for cocktail hour, and not quite loud/fast enough for dancing. This could be a cute recessional song or party entrance for a couple who loves Paramore, or a long lasting couple getting married. “After all this time, I’m still into you.”

4. Take Back The Night – Justin Timberlake

Everyone loves JT, but this one also has an awkward tempo. (And that 70′s feel that kills me – I don’t know why we’re bringing that back.) It’s a fun song but it might be a bit too slow for your guests to dance to. Fair warning.

5. Best Song Ever – One Direction

For One Direction fans. Which I am not. Different stokes for different folks. No judgment. Just didn’t want to leave it out in case you think it’s… the best song ever.

6. True Love – Pink

I wasn’t going to list this one but I changed my mind. I’m guessing most couples won’t want this song at their wedding. Any song that starts out “Sometimes I hate every single stupid word you say, sometimes I wanna slap you in your whole face” is usually not going to be a top contender for a wedding song. But hey, it’s a love song. And like I said, different strokes.

7. First Time – Jonas Brothers

Ok, I’m sensing a pattern here. Again, not a Jonas Brothers fan. I suppose Top 40 is not my genre. However, this is where most of the current dance songs come from, so it’s worth sharing. And I try not to limit this blog to MY favorites only. This is for you, and your wedding. So here’s a Jonas Brothers love song for your special day. Enjoy.
