Prelude Songs + Parents/Grandparents Processional

A bride asked me to help her find songs for the beginning of the ceremony, when the mothers and grandparents of the groom will be escorted in. The bride and groom’s mothers will also each be lighting a candle. I came up with a few suggestions for her which I think suit the occasion. I also wanted to include some sweet and slow songs for the prelude – the part of your ceremony when the guests are assembling and being seated, but before the actual ceremony starts. If you are having a traditional ceremony, you can find some classical selections in this post. If you are planning to use contemporary music for your ceremony, then the list below is for you! These are slow and sweet songs that are wedding appropriate and will keep your guests happy while they wait for the festivities to begin. Enjoy!
