Your Soundtrack | Jenny (Classic Vineyard Wedding + Indie/Pop/Country Playlist)

Your Soundtrack = My response to brides asking for music help. If you would like help with music for your wedding day, contact me! I’d love to do what I can.

Today’s soundtrack is for Jenny. Here’s what Jenny had to say: “Hello! I want to start off by saying I love your blog!! I am currently planning my wedding and would love some help with music! We are getting married in Sonoma Wine Country.  We are trying to do simple and classic, so our colors are black and white with touches of yellow for a little bit of fun. My dilemma lies in processional and recessional.  I want to walk down the aisle to Train’s acoustic version of “Marry me”.  I am toying with the idea of having the wedding party walk down the the same song that I will be walking down to simply because I love the song and my aisle isn’t very long so it wouldn’t play for very long. Also my mom found this song that she absolutely adores and things we should use as our first dance song.  I like the song…just not for our first dance.  Its Maroon 5′s cover of “Lovely Day.”  Can you help me make this song happen?? As for our musical preferences we’re a little but all over the place.  Some of my favorite bands/artists are Jamie Cullum, Wakey!Wakey!, Gavin Degraw, Goo Goo Dolls, Sarah Bareilles, and La Rocca, and I like a little bit of country.  My fiancee is more of a MGMT, Van Morrison, Beastie Boys, Beatles, Counting Crows, Green Day, Tom Waits, Red Hot Chili Peppers kind of guy. Your help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much!”

Happy to help, Jenny! Lovely Day is a great song. I actually think it could be a nice option for the processional! Other options could be the cake cutting, or the last dance of the night. I think that sometimes it is a good idea to combine the processional and bridal entrance using only one song, since you will not be able to use much of the song. Marry Me is such an appropriate song for a wedding, so it would work great for both! But in case you aren’t too excited about either of those ideas, I have some other song options for the processional. I also have a few song ideas for the recessional, and an extensive playlist (because I got carried away, as usual) for cocktail hour and/or dinner time. Hope it’s helpful!

This playlist is fantastic and is perfect for my wedding too.

If possible would you mind adding or separating the playlist for dancing that fits within this style of wedding?

Thank you so much for your time, I appreciate it.
